Dental Help For Sleep Apnea

I've been diagnosed with sleep apnea. How can a dentist help me with that problem?

When you've been diagnosed with sleep apnea, there's three ways you can get treatment for that. One is what's called a positive air presser or CPAP. The second is through surgery where they actually remove tissue from the back of the throat. And the third is with a removable dental appliance that you would wear at night while you're sleeping. With a removable dental appliance, what that does is move your lower jaw slightly forward which opens up the airway which will then allow you be able to breathe.
